Health Informatics Egyptian Fellowship Program

Description:

This program is the first Professional training program in Health Informatics- launched in 2010- provided by the Egyptian Fellowship, Ministry of Health. In November 2014 the scientific board of Health Informatics Fellowship has been reformed to include members from Faculty of Computers and Information (Helwan University), Biomedical Engineering Department-faculty of engineering (Cairo University) and  the Ministry of Health  represented by The High committee of medical specialties and The Health Information technology and Statistics Training Center (HITSTC).

The new scientific board of Health Informatics Fellowship has newly approved a third  year to the program.

The program 2 years Contents are:
  • Basics of information technology to the level of IC3
  • Overview of health informatics
  • E-collaboration in health care
  • Health information system and Electronic medical records
  • Interoperability of health information
  • Fundamentals of research design and medical statistics
  • Evidence- based medicine, online search for knowledge and medical audit
  • Medical coding and ICD-10
  • Picture archiving and communication systems
  • Bioinformatics
  • Mobile Technology
  • Project management
  • Change management
